Values-Based Coaching: Why Equity and Access Matter in My Practice

From day one, I knew I wanted my coaching practice to include equity and increase access.
One way I do that is by always reserving one pro bono spot for someone who is ready to do the work but can’t afford it right now.
(That spot is currently filled.)
A new client recently asked me, “Why do you do this?”
Here is what I told him:
Because coaching is powerful.
Because coaching helps people move from striving to thriving.
Because I want to help build a world where more people lead with strength, empathy, and purpose.
Because coaching isn’t just for executives with titles and budgets.
It’s for anyone who wants a thought partner and space to discover, explore, grow, and achieve meaningful change.
Because I’ve experienced this myself. Coaching helped me gain clarity, lead with authenticity and grounded confidence, and make aligned choices.
And I believe more people should have access to that.
It is much more rewarding to build a coaching practice and business that resonates from the inside out, that reflects what I stand for.
What would your work look like if it were rooted in your deepest values?
