Perspective

It’s all about perspective.

Last weekend, I visited the CN Tower in Toronto—a day filled with friendship, adventure, and letting go of expectations.

On the ground, the city was buzzing. People rushing by, snippets of conversations in many languages (including Spanish from the Dominican Republic 💛), and the energy of a big city alive.

Standing at the base of the tower, I had to lean back just to take in its height—it felt massive. From below, everything seemed loud, busy, and overwhelming.

But from the top? A completely different story. The noise disappeared. What felt chaotic from the ground came into focus: the water, the green spaces, the sunshine breaking through the clouds. The same city—just a different perspective.

That’s what coaching is like. Together, we step back, shift altitude, and change the lens. What once felt overwhelming can become clear. What seemed small can become significant. And often, the best insights come not from forcing solutions, but from changing perspective.

Here are some ideas to shake things up and see a new perspective.

  • Move your body and let the energy flow

  • Connect with your Inner Leader, your best self, and look at things from her vantage point

  • For a moment, put on the lens of someone who is the total opposite of you

  • Ask someone you trust to listen while you play the devil’s advocate

Whatever feels huge or insurmountable right now—maybe it’s not about solving it, but about shifting how you see it.

What might become possible if you looked at your situation from a different angle?
